Hi, And first of all Happy New Year.
It's been a while since my last blog. This year I intend to keep you updated of our latest projects and latest trends.
I thought I would share with you a project we completed last month.
The room had not been decorated for quite a few years and was in need of some attention.
After stripping & filling the walls the next job was the ceiling, which was stained by nicotine.
We applied 1 coat of Zinsser Cover Stain primer first to seal the nicotine so it would not bleed through the following coats.
The ceiling was to be two colours, white coving & mouldings and Dulux Nutmeg White inside the panels. These each had two coats.
After sanding the walls using a dustless sander & extractor it was time to line the walls in preparation of the finished wallpaper. We used a 1400 grade lining paper to prove a good sound base.
Then it was time to paint the woodwork, again after a good sand down one coat of undercoat & one coat of gloss was applied.
Finally the wallpaper was applied to the lined walls and the room was completed.
Thanks for reading.
Kind Regards
Gary
